I hope you all had a restful, long weekend.
This week in Reading we will be focusing on Non fiction articles. The students will be taking the Star Reading test to check their current reading level and they will also be choosing their AR goals for the 2nd quarter. Please make sure your child is reading every night for at least 15 minutes.
In writing, we will be working with the mobile labs in our classroom and getting acclimated with a program called Edmodo. It is an educational site that I will be integrating into each subject I teach! It is just another preparation for when we get our chrome books in January!!!!
In math, we will continue with ratio, rate, and unit rate. The students will also learn to solve proportions through cross multiplication. They will have a QUIZ on Friday, November 8th, over this material.
